If there was ever a day in our lives we felt most alive, it was undoubtedly our wedding day. Our amazing wedding at the stunning Esperanza Resort was everything we dreamed….and more. A sunset ceremony followed by cocktails on the beach was the perfect setting to begin the celebration with our 60 guests.
Following a 3-course dinner on one of Esperanza’s beautiful terraces, the evening continued with cigars, cake, fireworks and lots of dancing. Sarai Flores of Signature Weddings coordinated all the details and the day was flawless.
There is no other photographer than Manuel Burgoin to capture those moments. From our first meeting with him, we felt a connection with him, not just as clients, but friends. Manuel really puts his heart and soul into his photos and his passion and talent really shine through.
He was amazing with the kids and our guests just adored him. Manuel’s artistic abilities speak for themselves and we would highly recommend him. We have LOTS of fabulous photos and couldn’t be more ecstatic!
We LOVE our photos and book and can’t wait to work with you again Manuel! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sarah and Jared – November 14, 2009
“First let me say that it was such a pleasure having you as our wedding photographer. Jared and I were both extremely comfortable during our photography session on our wedding day, and you have mastered the fine art of capturing all the special moments of a wedding without making anything feel “manufactured”.
On our wedding day, we both felt and said to each other that we were so glad we had hired you! Also, I have to tell you how many compliments we have received on the photos you posted to your blog. We love them! And, of course, we are now so excited to see the rest of the photos. I’m sure they will be amazing.
Thank you so much, Manuel, we truly appreciate your efforts in making our pictures look fabulous!” Sarah + Jared
“Blue Sea Development is exquisite. This is a modern, private, and serene location for a wedding. My clients, Jared and Sarah Decker of Dallas, were recently married at Villa Annie Lie on Saturday, November 14, 2009. From the moment they stepped into this amazing villa, spotting the Sea of Cortez just passed the infinity pool; they knew this would be the wedding of their dreams. With a beach ceremony, beach cocktail hour and terrace reception, guests enjoyed the convenience of the entire night in one private location.
Whether Villa Annie Lie, Villa Amanda or Villa Serena…you cannot go wrong with a properties managed by Lifestyle Management Services. Mariachis, fireworks, and a great DJ ensured this wedding was full of surprises for the guests and wonderful key moments. Hands on service from Villa Specialist, Susana Martin and Villa Concierge Adan guarantees your stay will be nothing short of amazing.”

We were married at the Riu Palace on November 6, 2009, our 8 year anniversary.
Our day began early at 6:00 am with hair and makeup, but exceeded all of our expectations. Our amazing ceremony was on the beach in front of the famous arch and was followed by at private photo session for us and drinks at the bar for our guest. We then had our first dance with music played by our wonderful friend, Jacob.
After drinks we enjoyed dinner and wedding cake at Mar De Cortes steak house restaurant. Our night ended with a bash at the legendary Cabo Wabo. Our wedding day was everything we could have ever hoped for and we are thankful for everyone who helped make it possible.
As for our photographer, where do I even begin, over a year ago when we decided to have a destination wedding, we then began our search not for the perfect place, but for the perfect photographer to capture our memories. After weeks of searching we decided on Manuel and have not regretted it since.
A few weeks before our wedding we encountered a few problems getting Manuel to our resort, but he was very understanding and quick to adjust his day to accommodate us. We were very excited to finally meet him. Manuel, your energy and enthusiasm for photography are amazing.

You made us feel comfortable and it seemed like you were just as happy as we were that our big day was finally here. We cannot wait to see our photos because we know they will be incredible. Thank you for everything!!

We decided to do our wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico at the Dreams Resort. Almost 100 of our closest friends and family flew in from all parts of the US and we even had some international guests join us. It was a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony followed by a cocktail hour and a reception.

The weather was perfect and the mood was festive and joyous. Everyone enjoyed the great food, the dancing, and the most amazing FIREWORKS under the stars and right next to the beach. It truly was a dream wedding!
This is an amazing hotel and the staff is beyond great. Each and every one of our guests enjoyed being there. Everyone just ate, drank and relaxed with absolutely no worries of the world.

We worked with Manuel Burgoin as our photographer. After seeing his work and speaking to him over the phone, there was no doubt in our minds that we wanted him to shoot our wedding. He showed up with two assistants to ensure every special moment was caught. He was punctual, had studied the detailed schedule previously agreed to and kept us on time.

Additionally, he was very accommodating when it came to the various types of pictures and backgrounds we wanted. His experience and eye for photography became very clear throughout the evening. Now we can’t wait to see the pictures as they are going to be sent to friends and family all over the world!

Elizabeth and Matthew – October 13, 2009
Elizabeth and Matt’s Wedding at the Cabo del Sol: Slideshow Presentation

Cabo del Sol was beautiful. Despite the impending Tropical Storm Patricia everything was perfect. We moved the wedding inside to the balcony and it felt like a scene out of Romeo & Juliet. It was so romantic. Our ceremony was performed by the Reverend Marco Arechiga. He did an exceptional job. He made everyone feel like family and created a one-of-a-kind experience for all us. It was a ceremony of full of emotion and joy.

The reception was exactly as I had imagined it. The lighting was perfect. The room absolutely glowed in candle light and pink and amber hues. The flowers were stunning and added the perfect finishing touches to everything.

The catering service at Cabo del Sol was outstanding. The food was great and the service was outstanding. All of the meals were placed at the table simultaneously. Extremely professional. Our wedding planner, Vari at Allure Event Design, planned everything from beginning to end with us and made all of the last minute changes that were necessary to ensure our welcome party, rehearsal dinner and wedding were still a monumental success despite the tropical storm! She was amazing!

And what can we say about Manuel at Weddings in Los Cabos, he is an absolute professional! He and his assistant stood in the rain to get the perfect shot and Manuel even ended up catching a cold because of it, but he never complained!

And when it was obvious we weren’t going to be able to get the shots we had wanted because of the weather, Manuel was extremely flexible and made plans to meet us on a different day for a second photo shoot…and we got the perfect photos. We couldn’t have been happier or have had more fun. We really had a great time taking our photos. We never felt posed or stiff. Everything was always very natural and so enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to a friend.

Very nice!!!! We can’t wait to see the rest!
Amazing job!!
We got married at the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar on October 28, 2009 and it could not have been more perfect! The Sheraton staff along with our wedding planner, Brooke from Mi Amor, took all of our ideas (including some of their own) and created our dream wedding.

Our beautiful ceremony was held on the Sheraton’s beach, in a cove which was very private and the scenery was amazing. Our wedding dinner in the private wine cellar tucked away beneath Pitahayas restaurant was incredible! The 4 course tasting menu was unbelievable and the staff made us feel like royalty.

As for Manuel and his team, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. He made us feel comfortable and confident, while guiding us through the photo session. He was very active and energetic the entire time, making sure to get every shot and angle he could.

He seemed to be as excited to be taking our pictures as we were to be getting our pictures taken. Overall our Cabo wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, and we are so grateful for Manuel who helped make it that way.
Thanks,

Thursday – Sangheet – Cabo Del Sol GC:
Brenda Flores & Girish Gehani started their wedding celebration off with a fun & beautiful Indian Sangheet. As part of the 3-night Indian wedding celebration, this is the night to really have fun, to party, to eat & drink, to celebrate with performances and dancing. Most of the guests came in traditional Indian dress, and the decor was bright, vibrant and fabulous. They utlizied their theme colors of orange & fuchsia but also brought in modern brown to emphasize that this was more of a lounge party than a wedding celebration. Lounge furniture and lighted tables surrounded the dance floor, and the couple had their own love seat where they sat to watch their friends and family as they performed dances for them in a Bollywood fashion. The couple used lots of amber uplighting and a spotlight over the dance floor to set the mood for this lavish party. What a way to welcome their guests!

FRIDAY – Sheraton Palapa:
Because Brenda is Mexican-American (and because the wedding was in Cabo!) the couple decided that their next event would have a Mexican theme. They invited all of their guests on Friday night for a casual but fun Mexican fiesta buffet. The bar was set up under the palapa, Mexican serapes decorated the tables & the buffet, and a Mexican Trio serenaded guests as they ate & drank under the globe lighting. Guests could come & go as they pleased and Girish & Brenda actually had a chance to really chat & visit with their guests. The Fiesta ended at 9:30pm but that was not the end of the celebrations for the evening. The couple and 125 of their “younger” guests than boarded buses and headed for the Baja Cantina on the Beach. There they had what is called a “Youngster Party” directly on the sand, feet from the surf, with DJ music, late night cocktails & hor d’ouevres.

SAT:
After 2 nights of fantastic parties, it was time for the actual wedding celebration. The ceremony was at the gorgeous Sheraton DeCortez Beach, where guests walked on coco mats to the private ceremony location, looking out at crashing waves, as the sun set behind them. The bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids & flowers girls were gorgeous in their very colorful Indian sundresses, perfect for a Cabo wedding. The bride was breathtaking in an ivory gown which she had specially enhanced with Indian accents. The Mandap was decorated in the theme colors of orange, fuchsia & yellow. A Classical Trio played traditional Mexican music for the ceremony.

Guests adjourned to the DeCortez terrace for drinks, while the couple and their bridal party of 23 continued to take photos on the beach and in the midst of some of the beautiful Sheraton gardens & architecture.

The reception was held in the Sheraton Ballroom, which had been transformed into a wonderland with the help of expert draping & lighting from PSAV on the Sheraton property. Tables were draped in camel/gold linens with orange crush runners, accented with gold chargers, orange napkins, and table arrangements that included three vases of lilies, roses, and mums, all tied with gold ribbon. With a great DJ and two witty MCs, the guests were enthralled with toasts, a funny DVD production and lastly with dancing & wonderful food & desserts that lasted until 2am.
